Cognitive psycho-educational enrichment classes for individuals seeking skills to manage their anger and learn new ways of being accountable for their actions and responsible for making choices which are supportive and respectful towards others. These groups meet weekly for eighteen weeks and run two hours each session. Some of the topics are: Personal choices, Effects of conflict and violence on our children, Communication Skills, Alternatives to conflict/violence, Stress Management, etc.
Teen Educational Groups will be forming for the 2011-2012 year!
A generous grant from Verizon will assist us in providing this upcoming group for one year to 30 teens and outreach and education to a total of 20 families.
Focusing on healthy relationships, ways to avoid violent relationships with others, anger management, problem solving skills and living safe in homes where domestic violence occur .
